For beauty brands looking to upgrade their printed packages, Epson has launched three new products designed for speed and high quality printing. This week at Graph Expo in Chicago, Epson introduced the new Epson Stylus Pro 4900 (17”), 7890/9890 (24”/44”), and an all-new system that the company says will redefine how computer-to-plate (CTP) technology is used by small and medium commercial print shops – the Epson Stylus Pro 7900CTP. Highlights include:

– Epson Stylus Pro 7900CTP: New Epson DirectPlate Aluminum technology enables true aluminum lithographic printing press plates to be created with a standard Epson Stylus Pro printer and Epson UltraChrome HDR inks. Once imaged, followed by a quick heat curing process, these unique plates can be used to produce up to 20,000 impressions each with image quality that’s superior to polyester solutions available today.

– Epson Stylus Pro 4900: New 17-inch printer leverages Epson’s latest engineering technology featured in the award-winning Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900. Combines the precision of Epson’s MicroPiezo TFP print head with the performance of Epson UltraChrome HDR ink to deliver high quality prints, fast print speeds, and an extremely wide color gamut.

– Epson Stylus Pro 7890/9890: New 24 and 44-inch printers for photographers and proofing professionals, offering Epson’s latest technology achievements in the sub-$3,000 and $5,000 price categories. Combining eight-color Epson UltraChrome K3 Vivid Magenta ink technology with auto-sharing Matte and Photo Black inks, and Epson’s MicroPiezo TFP print head to produce high quality prints at speeds about twice as fast as their renowned predecessors.
